Christ, "The Bridegroom" - icon293 - 12 inch

Painted by Fr. Theodore Jurewiscz in the Jordanville iconographic tradition, this icon of Christ the Bridegroom depicts the Lord in the stillness of His Passion — bound, crowned with thorns, yet clothed in the dignity of the One who gave Himself freely for the life of the world. The Bridegroom icon is appointed for the first three days of Holy Week, when the Church keeps watch for the coming of the Lord. A moving and spiritually weighty Orthodox mounted icon for any home or church.
