St Emmelia - icon878 - 6 inch

Written by Deacon Paul Drozdowski of Holy Trinity Monastery, this icon of St. Emmelia of Caesaria — the holy mother whose household produced three bishops and a great abbess — renders her with the quiet authority of one who shaped Orthodoxy's future through the holiness of her home. She is a model for Christian parents who seek to raise their children in the fear and love of God. An Orthodox mounted icon from Damascene Gallery.
